Position Overview: The Director of Human Resources will lead and manage the HR department to support our retail operations. This role will focus on developing and executing HR strategies aligned with the company's goals, managing employee relations, performance management, and ensuring compliance with employment laws. The Director of HR will be instrumental in enhancing employee engagement, driving organizational culture, and supporting our retail teams across multiple locations. 

Key Responsibilities: 

1Strategic HR Leadership: 

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that align with the company's business objectives and retail environment. 
  • Partner with senior management to understand and address organizational challenges and provide strategic HR guidance. 
  • Drive initiatives to enhance organizational effectiveness and foster a positive workplace culture. 
  • Act as a key point of contact for executives and managers within the company 

 2. Employee Relations and Engagement: 

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and management, addressing employee concerns and resolving conflicts. 
  • Implement and manage employee engagement programs to enhance job satisfaction and retention. 
  • Seek feedback from employees and managers to assess employee morale and identify areas for improvement. 

 3.  Performance Management: 

  • Develop and oversee performance management systems that support employee development and organizational goals. 
  • Provide guidance on performance evaluations, goal setting, and professional development plans. 
  • Address performance issues in collaboration with management, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies. 

4. Compliance and Policy Management: 

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. 
  • Develop, update, and communicate HR policies and procedures to ensure consistency and adherence. 
  • Manage employee records and HR documentation in accordance with legal requirements. 

5. HR Analytics and Reporting: 

  • Utilize HR metrics and data analytics to monitor and assess HR performance and workforce trends. 
  • Prepare and present reports on HR activities, employee statistics, and key metrics to senior management. 

6. Onboarding: 

  • Oversee the onboarding process to ensure all new hires are onboarding accurately and in a timely manner.  

7. Benefit Administration: 

  • Oversee the overall benefit functions to include partnering with Benefits Brokers, accurate invoice reporting, and effective communication regarding any changes/updates to the benefits programs. 
  • Lead the annual Open Enrollment campaign for all benefit programs.  

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.   
  • 8 years of progressive HR experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role, preferably within a retail environment. 
  • roven experience in employee relations, performance management, and HR strategy. 
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic retail environment. 
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
